Unit 7  How much are these socks?

Task 1: Learn by oneself:

T: let’s have an English song. Ten little Indian boys

Step1 Lead in

T: Hello, everyone! Do you like English ?Do you like English song?                         

Ss: Yes, I do.

T:Let’s sing the song.

Step2Review the numbers and words

T:How many Indian boys are there in the song?

S:Ten Indian boys.

T:Do you remember the numbers?

S:Yes,we do.

T:Let’s count the numbers from eleven to ninety.

S:Eleven,twelve,thirteen,fourteen,fifteen,sixteen,seventeen,eighteen,nineteen,twenty,twenty-one,twenty-two,twenty-three…thirty,forty,fifty,sixty,seventy,eighty,ninety.

T:OK,you are great!

Look at the pictures, How many pool children can you see?

S:One, two, three, four, five. Five children.

T:The poor children don’t have some clothes, such as sweaters, trousers, shoes, hats, skirts and so on. Can you help them ?

Talk about the things in English.

Step3 Interview (Talk about the pictures)

A:How much is the/this/that…?

B:It is ______ yuan /dollars.

A:How much are these/those…?

B:They are ______ yuan /dollars.

2)Role-play.

Choose some pairs to act out the conversations.

2.Show up the pictures. Ask some questions about him\her.

T:The girl doesn’t have a hat, a sweater, and so on . Do you want to buy some clothes for her?

S:Yes. I do.

T:If you want to buy some things for her, and I’m the boss, I can say…..

S:Can I help you?/What can I do for you?

T:Great,you’re right! Let’s pair work in your groups like this:

3.T: In our family, we have many free things. We can sell them to make lots of money to help the poor children. Let’s go shopping.

4.Review the ad. “Mr. Cool’s Clothes Store.”

  T:Do you want to make lots of money?

  SS: Yes, we do.

    T:I think we can write an ad to tell lots of people .What do you think of it?

SS: That sounds great/good/interesting.

T:First,let’s review the ad” Mr. Cool’s Clothes Store” for 3 miutes.

5.Talk about the ad.

S:Come and buy your…at our great sale.

S:We sell…at very good prices.

S:Do you like… 

S:Do you need…We have…for

S:For boys/girls,we have...in red/blue...for

S:Come to... now! 

6.Let’s sell some school things, clothes things and sports things for the poor children.

7.Write an ad like this:
